Bijal Patel is a healthcare leader with more than 25 years of experience spanning clinical documentation integrity, health information management, healthcare operations, education, finance, and strategic transformation. With a uniquely diverse background that combines medicine, business, analytics, and project management, Bijal is known for helping healthcare organizations strengthen documentation accuracy, optimize reimbursement performance, and drive operational improvement through scalable CDI strategies and technology-enabled solutions.

Prior to joining Sage Clinical RCM, Bijal held CDI and HIM leadership roles with Tenet Healthcare and Prime Healthcare, where he led CDI operations, coding audits, HIM system implementations, and enterprise transformation initiatives. His experience also includes financial modeling instruction with Training the Street and clinical education with Kaplan, reflecting his ability to bridge technical expertise with education and leadership development. As Senior Director of CDI Strategy & Transformation at Sage, Bijal partners with healthcare organizations to advance CDI innovation, improve clinical and financial outcomes, and align documentation integrity initiatives with long-term operational and revenue cycle goals.
