Jannifer Owens, MSA, BSHA, CCS, CPC, CIRCC

Jannifer Owens is Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations at Sage Clinical RCM. She is a revenue cycle executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience transforming coding, CDI, auditing, and revenue integrity operations across complex health systems. She is known for turning clinical and operational data into measurable financial outcomes and for building scalable programs that strengthen compliance, accuracy, and performance. Prior to joining Sage Clinical RCM, Jannifer served as an Analytics and Content Program Director at Solventum, formerly 3M Health Information Systems, where she led development teams that created advanced revenue-performance dashboards and AI-enabled analytics tools. Her work unified more than 100 reports into executive level insights that helped organizations uncover DRG opportunities, accelerate revenue capture, and improve efficiency.

Earlier in her career, Jannifer held enterprise leadership roles at Banner Health where she oversaw coding, CDI, and audit operations across 26 hospitals and more than 250 team members within a 30-million-dollar operational scope. She successfully stabilized financial performance during the ICD-10 transition and negotiated vendor consolidations that produced meaningful savings while strengthening compliance and alignment. As Vice President of Operations at Sage, Jannifer leads Coding and Auditing with a focus on operational excellence, data-driven strategy, and client outcomes. She holds a Master of Science in Accountancy and maintains multiple credentials including CCS, CPC, and CIRCC. She is also an AHIMA-approved ICD-10 trainer, industry speaker, published author, and former AzHIMA Board member who has contributed to national guidance on coding compliance and revenue cycle performance.
